Meet Matt, Host of Koffee with Kommie!

Matt Robert is a musician, educator, and freelance writer (in no particular order) based in Worcester. As a lifelong musician, Matt likes to contribute to the local scene by talking it over with its cast of important contributors and putting those ideas into articles, most of which are published beforehand in Worcester Magazine, and other journals.

Here you’ll find a decent resource for getting to know Worcester’s music and arts scene, as well as occasional comments on other things.

  1. Hi Matt Robert. I’ve got a new acoustic disc, Portraits, and wondered if it’s your kup of koffee. (I think we exchanged messages on worcesterite.org when I was playing the Registry Restaurant last year.) If you’re interested to hear, the files are temporarily on archive.org at http://bit.ly/portraitsarchive My Web site (with lyrics, liner notes and the commercial release [I don’t want to give the farm away!]) is at http://www.portraits.lawrencestrauss.com

Thanks for blogging about Worcester music. I’m looking forward to meeting you in person one of these days.

  2. scott ricciuti's cousin

hi matt, im one of scotts cousins and I love your article on him. our family loved going to his shows. one of the earliest memories I have of him is playing in his moms backyard on the deck or my house by the pool for family parties. they would sing songs like Amy -watch cha gonna do. those were around the midnight sun days. He was definitely our favorite cousin. I think we can all agree on that one and is missed each and every day.

    • Thanks so much for the kind remarks. I’m sorry for your loss. It was a great loss for the music scene, too.
